Miles Alperstein is a business lawyer, and is the partner managing the business law group of Watson Goepel LLP. Miles joined Watson Goepel LLP in 2008 having lent his expertise to both large and small law firms. He is experienced in a wide variety of business transactions, including structuring, negotiating and closing transactions. His focus is to advise clients strategically and practically about the business objectives, and well-being of the business entity and its longevity. He also assists in founders transition and succession plan exit strategies.
Among his specialties are commercial transactions, corporate structuring and reorganizations, mergers and acquisitions, business contracts, venture capital, corporate financings, securities law compliance, franchising, lending and secured transaction, and real estate development and related matters. He is also an expert in estate planning, trusts and wills.
Miles holds a bachelor of science, with majors in psychology and biology from the University of Calgary, and juris doctor degree in law from Queen’s University.
