Overview

We work with the Didi Foundation in Nepal. Founded by Australian, Jan Pryor, in 2013, the Didi Foundation began with four donated sewing machines and began offering sewing training. It has since expanded to include a women’s reproductive health education program, computer literacy courses, literacy and numeracy classes, reusable sanitary kit sewing and education, and the Shree Jana Bijaya Primary School. They also engage in opportunity creation through beauticians courses, traditional weaving courses, toy and cushion making, a self-funding photocopy/print shop in a village in Sindhuli for female gradautes from a deaf school, and other social enterprises and micro-loans.
